We can never have too many smoothie options

There are so many smoothie recipes, but we can never have too many. 🙂 This is a meal that provides some of the nutrients we need every day. It’s a nutrition bomb:

  • blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • celery
  • bananas
  • hemp seeds

Blueberies: contain Fe and other essential minerals. I picked these myself in the local forest. They grow on rich soil on forest floor with just the right amount of sun to make them sweet and delicious.

Celery contains Mg, K, vitamins C, E and B-complex. If possible, grow it in your garden, so you know it’s not treated with any unwanted chemicals. It’s nutritious, very useful in many meals and tasty.

Bananas: K and carbohydrates.

Hemp seeds: B12, omega-3 and Fe.

This is just an idea for when you have any random fruits and vegetables and don’t know what to do with them. You can add all kinds of fruits and vegetables to these smoothies; pears, apples, dates, carrots, spinach, swiss chard, fennel – anything that might grow in your garden. It all adds to the richness and nutrition of the meal.

All the ingredients provide the necessary nutrients and, since this meal is raw, it also neutralises the body’s pH, or rather, it alkalises the body.
