I just got the chance to finally listen to the last Owl city’s album, Mobile Orchestra and this whole post just flew to my mind. Adam continues to pour his soul into his music as this album is a continuation of his colorful artistic expressions. I meant to write about his music (the author is the amazing Adam Young) for years now. I just couldn’t find enough beautiful words to describe the mesmerising music and the feelings I get every time when listening to it. I still can’t find all the words but at least found some, listening to the mentioned album, to write about it now.
Every song goes right into the soul, the rhythm, the melodies and especially the lyrics. It reminds us how beautiful and magical every aspect of life is. I mean life in its broadest meaning possible – from nature to family to every big and small thing there is.
This music also accompanied me when I was in a deep cave of grief from the loss of my beautiful cousin. When I could think of nothing at all, there was something I heard from afar… Music in my head, and it was Owl city’s If my heart was a house you’d be home. Where he is. It’s hard for me to write about this but very important, because hearing it grew moments that made me feel alive again when I was coming back from being numb of all the pain.
In every note there is happiness, there is also sadness. And magic. It’s filled with magic. It takes you to some outer or inner world (both, really), full of endless colors.
And one of my favourites:
How do you feel about Owl city’s music?
Beginnig of a new year. A time when (almost) everybody is making their new year resolutions.
At this point I have one word for you – intentional.
So incredibly simple – to be better at everything, make sure that every single thing you do, you do it intentionally. Turn off the auto-pilot. Be present, be aware in every action.
You will see the difference in your efficiency right away. And long term you will see how much more effective, efficient, and functional you are and can be.
It’s easy to put this into action but the enthusiasm can wear off rather quickly. In this case I have a hack for you. I write the word »intentional« on sticky notes and put them on spots I spend most time at, throughout my office and apartment.
It works for me, it might for you too, if it doesn’t, try something else and you are very welcome to share your findings with us.

This book has changed my life. If you’re an introvert or in any type of close relationship with one, it may just change yours too.
In this world introversion is treated as a desease. As if something is wrong with the quiet thinking people. In the book it is explained why so and why this is wrong.
Without introverts our world would lack:
- the law of gravity
- theory of relativity
- Peter Pan
- Harry Potter
And much more. These people shaped these ideas, formulas, stories and worlds not inspite of their introversion, but because of it.
I am a horse for a single harness, not cut out for tandem or teamwork; for well I know that in order to attain any definite goal, it is imperative that one person do the thinking and the commanding. – Albert Einstein Continue reading
This woman is a badass. She is the woman.
I’ve had the privilege of being able to take my time to go through pretty much every interview with her, or taken by her, that can be found on Youtube. And discovered just how amazing Caitlin is – in the first few minutes. A good thing too – having the time – because once I’ve started, I could’t stop. 🙂
Trying not to sound like Wikipedia, here are some facts: Continue reading
According to this test (link is below) there are 16 personality types.
If I only knew this before… It would make some situations significantly easier to understand.
If you aspire to research your personality some more, I strongly recommed taking this test. Doesn’t take much time to go through, but it will require some time to read the results as they are quite accurate. I strongly recommend to take your time to go through the test and then the results (10 pages of them!). You may learn nothing new about yourself, which just means that apparently you know yourself well. Lucky you! But see here – you’ve still just learned something more! Which is pretty much never a bad thing. Continue reading
Christine Kobzeff, former Pinksofoxy. I found her vlog “by coincidence” some years ago searching for something about minimalistic lifestyle, watched one video and got hooked.
This vlog (and blog) inspires to lead a more successful life, to be thoughtful and always be present or even to completely change a lifestyle. For one it made me change my interior design style, I mean, I was a minimalist before but this vlog helped me create an even cleaner space. It also got me into growing plants. Before I saw houseplants as solely functional (meaning I would only grow herbs, not that I did :)), whereas now I treat them like pets and look forward to every new branch, leaf or flower bud and am happy when I see them growing well under my care (more about growing indoor plants in one of my future posts, stay tunned!).
Stumbled upon this post on the Man Repeller blog. Just have to share it, it says it all and it’s funny.
Everything I thought only I had problems with, turns out pretty much every woman does… How many listed statements can you agree with?
