I have been using several products by this brand for quite a while and wanted to share what I like – with you. You can get these products in DM (drogerie markt) across Europe. The brand is certified vegan.
Now I’m not one to encourage consumerism, but these products have added value to my life and maybe you can find valuable information about them here. Continue reading
Weather, dust, washing, brushing and different sorts of heat treatments affect the hair short and long term. It’s very good to nurture it every once in a while by using masks. I’m referring to long hair, I’m not familiar with treating short hair. Pixie ladies out there, you can let us know, how you take care of your hair. 🙂
When starting with using hair masks I went for the natural ones first. So coconut oil. I would apply it, starting a couple cm from the roots down to the tips, put on a shower cap, warm it up with a hairdryer and leave it like that for two hours so it would penetrate the hair where it could. Then I washed it thoroughly. I would do this about once per two months. The problem was, no matter how thorough I was, I couldn’t get all the oil out and my hair would look greasy after it’s dried. But it also made it very smooth and silky, so I insisted for about a year. Continue reading
Do you have any old CDs lying around that you’re not using anymore, wondering what to do with them? Here’s a useful idea about how not to throw them away just yet.
I was decluttering the other day, which included testing if some CDs I had stored, still worked. It turned out most of them didn’t. Weird thing because they were stored in a dry box at about constant temperatures, seldom moved and/or used. Yet they didn’t work. Anyway, looking at the pile of disks I meant to dispose (they must be placed to a specific place at the local landfill!), I got an idea… Continue reading
– 3 or 4 bananas
– 3 or 4 medium sized apples
– 80 g dates
– optional: a dash of cinnamon
Blend the fruits. You can add the cinnamon in the blender or sprinkle over the cream after you put it in a bowl.
If you don’t have the best blender in the world, I recommend soaking the dates for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight. This way you can make the perfect cream.
Ingredients (for one):
– 3 bananas (+/- – your choice)
– carob (2 hefty tsp)
– optional: rice/oat drink/coconut milk/coconut water (2 to 4 dl) or water
– optional: something for decoration (coconut flakes, nuts, etc.)
Blend all the ingredients and pour it in a bowl. That’s it. 🙂
Amazingly, carob makes the whole thing taste even more chocolatey than using actual cacao. The reason carob is the better choice, I have explained in this post. Be cautious about this, specially if you’re preparing this meal for some little ones. Continue reading
Beginnig of a new year. A time when (almost) everybody is making their new year resolutions.
At this point I have one word for you – intentional.
So incredibly simple – to be better at everything, make sure that every single thing you do, you do it intentionally. Turn off the auto-pilot. Be present, be aware in every action.
You will see the difference in your efficiency right away. And long term you will see how much more effective, efficient, and functional you are and can be.
It’s easy to put this into action but the enthusiasm can wear off rather quickly. In this case I have a hack for you. I write the word »intentional« on sticky notes and put them on spots I spend most time at, throughout my office and apartment.
It works for me, it might for you too, if it doesn’t, try something else and you are very welcome to share your findings with us.

This book has changed my life. If you’re an introvert or in any type of close relationship with one, it may just change yours too.
In this world introversion is treated as a desease. As if something is wrong with the quiet thinking people. In the book it is explained why so and why this is wrong.
Without introverts our world would lack:
- the law of gravity
- theory of relativity
- Peter Pan
- Harry Potter
And much more. These people shaped these ideas, formulas, stories and worlds not inspite of their introversion, but because of it.
I am a horse for a single harness, not cut out for tandem or teamwork; for well I know that in order to attain any definite goal, it is imperative that one person do the thinking and the commanding. – Albert Einstein Continue reading
