Advice I would give to my 20 year old self – and present

  1. Spend as much time as possible (and more!) with family and friends. Those are the most important times in your life.
  2. Set goals. Secific goals with due dates and work towards them. Thus you will inevitably achieve them. Be ambitious and aim high.
  3. Dating is overrated. Build friendships instead – those that will last forever.
  4. Work. Get A LOT of quality work experience.
  5. Study hard, study for knowledge and also for good grades. They do pay off.
  6. Discover different music genres to expand your musical horizons.
  7. Study financial markets in your free time, learn everything you can as you go, then invest. Learn how to and invest!
  8. Travel, travel, travel. Never miss an opportunity to see the world.
  9. Persist in your martial arts training. The knowledge, confidence, mental and physical strength you gain is ever life improving.
  10. Also persist in dancing. It’s not too late to start training professionally.
  11. Don’t waste any time looking for the right partner. When the time is right, you’ll meet him and you’ll know. Study, train, travel, build friendships and have fun instead.
  12. Keep the piano lessons, also take on guitar lessons. You’ll manage and it’ll be well worth it.
  13. Only buy what you need and of that, only what you really like. Don’t make any compromises there.
  14. Go raw vegan. Do your research and try it out, you’ll never want to go any other way.
  15. Wim Hof. Listen to what he has to say.
  16. The keys to the highest quality of life are respect, kindness, discipline, patience and persistence. Always live by this and you’ll reach everything you set for yourself and more.
  17. Keep journaling, every day is important and you should treat as such.
