An easy hike away from our little town, up through a forest to a spot where the forest opens up and a view of the valley comes into sight, there are 4 beautiful princesses (as I call them) or brides (as my mother calls them). We are, of course, talking about trees, birches. Birches (Betula pendula) are just strikingly beautiful trees. The path we walk on, crosses these elegantly growing nature’s beings.

As we are well into autumn on the northern hemisphere, we’re entering a peaceful time when it does well to do a bit of self reflection. Whenever I pass this point, these ladies, I take a moment to breathe, listen, smell and notice what’s around. Nature is always in style, every season. 😉
